Dr. Matthew Berardocco is a Physiatrist – a medical doctor who specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Berardocco completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, followed by medical school and five-year residency at McMaster University.
Dr. Berardocco treats pain caused by joints, nerves, soft tissues, or other undiagnosed causes. He focuses on understanding your condition and developing a treatment plan unique to you. This plan may involve exercises, therapy, bracing, medications and/or injections. Dr Berardocco is skilled in performing ultrasound-guided injections using cortisone, hyaluronic acid, tendon fenestration, prolotherapy, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
Dr. Berardocco also works at Joseph Brant Hospital providing care for patients with strokes, brain injuries, fractures, and general deconditioning. He performs EMG tests at the hospital to help diagnose nerve conditions such as carpal tunnel, neuropathy, and pinched nerves.
Dr. Berardocco was born and raised on the West Mountain and is thrilled to join the team at Wishbone Athletics to provide community based care.
